I know I said I’d write about my childhood toy and movie obsession, but there’s still one more thing to say.
I want to tell my story in a book.
I’ve always wanted to write a book, and this is one of those projects that could have been done decades ago if it hadn’t been for my love for Harry Potter.
But for years I thought I’d never finish a book and that I’d be just another nerdy kid who wanted to read about a fictional world that I didn’t get to experience, and I was wrong.
In fact, I’d been writing books in a few different forms since I was a teenager.
I wanted to create my own book but couldn’t because I couldn’t think of anything to put it on a shelf and wouldn’t be able to afford to buy it.
Then, when I was in my 20s, I found the Harry Potter fandom and was hooked.
I started following the stories on YouTube and became obsessed with Harry and the Chamber of Secrets.
I’d read every book ever written about the book and, like most fans, I knew every line.
I also found the book’s theme of friendship and the love between Harry and his friends.
And then, just a few years ago, I decided that this was it.
I had to write the book.
Now, I am still in the middle of writing it.
But I’m starting to think it might be my best book yet.
And with the help of the Potter fandom, I hope to have it published in the next couple of years.
I can’t thank the fans enough for making me this far and I want you to be able for me to share this with as many people as possible.
To start, I would like to thank all of the people who have donated money for this project.
If you don’t know who they are, here are a few names that are so important to me.
We’re going to get into details later, but for now, I want everyone to know that I’m thankful for the generosity of those who donated.
My mom is a big fan of the Harry series and she wrote the book for me and her daughter and it was amazing to be part of it.
The Potter books are so beloved by the Harry fandom that she’s even put out a cookbook about the books.
It was amazing.
She and her friends created this cookbook that I can now share with you, and the Harry books have inspired a lot of great people to follow in her footsteps.
I am also so grateful to the Harry fans that have shared their love and support of the series on social media.
I don’t get many opportunities to share that kind of support, and that’s why I’ve been so happy to be featured in The Guardian.
When I see Harry Potter fans share their love on social, I always feel like they’re giving back.
If that wasn’t enough, I’m also thankful for all the fans who made it possible for me, my wife and my friends to make this book possible.
I’m still working on the last pages of the book, so please, if you’ve already contributed, thank you.
And finally, thanks to my fellow writers and creators on The Guardian and Potter fandom.
I hope you all enjoyed the journey I’ve had writing this book and I hope it will inspire others to write as well.
